Design Miami/2008

Design Miami/ 2008 will take place this December in the Miami Design District. The show's program is
available at www.designmiami.com, including the winner of the Designer of the Year Award.

Design Miami/ Basel 2007 took place in the Markthalle Basel, the third largest dome in Europe, and featured
22 Design Galleries exhibiting the best in contemporary and historical work.

Along with a series of Design Talks engaging luminaries of the industry,Design Miami/ Basel also presented
a curated selection of Satellite Exhibitions exploring “Performance /Process,” the creative processes that
underlie cutting-edge contemporary design.

Design Miami/ Basel is proud to recognize FRONT, the 2007 Designer of the Future Award winner.

Miami Design District

The Miami Design District is the first neighborhood in the United States dedicated to showcasing
international design. An urban community driven by creative innovation, the Design District is anchored by
major furniture design showrooms, and fashion retail. The 18 block area features unique stores, galleries,
restaurants, cafes, artist and architect studios, and residential lofts in historic 1920s and 1930s buildings.

By Plane
The Miami Design District is conveniently located only minutes from Miami International Airport via State
Road 112, minutes north of Downtown Miami and west of Miami Beach.

By Car
The Miami Design District is located directly north of Midtown Miami, between NE 36th St and NE 41st St ,and
North Miami Avenue to Biscayne Boulevard (US1). Parking is ample, and is only a few minutes drive from
Downtown Miami, Miami Beach, Miami International Airport
