This is for God and the Gays | Fashion forward newcomer
Lady Gaga wins big @ VMAs

As much of cluster-frak as the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards may have been,
one of the many highlights of the evening had to be adventurous and ballsy 23
year old, Lady Gaga accepting her “first Moon-man” as Best New Artist.

Handing her the award along with a congratulatory embrace was “straight guy
lookin’ angry with his hand in his pocket” Eminem.

Again I am happy to touch base with the slightly younger pulse of my sister and
brother(s), because thanks to them I tuned into the VMA’s which I have not
watched since Jenny McCarthy was on Singled Out or no since Kennedy was a
VJ!

The only Lady Gaga I owned was a friend’s copy of the single “Poker Face”
which I placed on my player and always skipped over. After watching the Gaga
and her dancers perform “Paparazzi”, I was intrigued and blowed away. It was
her take on the viciousness and carnivorous media machine and it’s fuel,

namely…everybody. So I thought it
silly, Perez Hilton in the audience
hoppin’ up and down clapping,
looking like a Technicolor donkey
chicken…listen to me. That’s not
nice.

It was like a white themed Endymion
Ball at Mardi Gras meets psychiatric
ward. There was even blood and a
hanging! But it was her insane red
laced coverall outfit, her
acceptance, her smile and her
overall boldness that had me and I
now purchased and own “The Fame”
LP.

She holds up her Moon
-man and proclaims,
“…this is for God and
the gays”.

It felt nice and it was nice to hear
that, she was proud to do it and she
gained another fan.
