Atleta gay ganó medalla de oro en Beijing
Matthew Mitcham, uno de los diez atletas abiertamente gay en Beijing, ganó la medalla de oro en la prueba
de plataforma de 10 metros al conseguir 4 puntuaciones perfectas de 10 en su último clavado e imponerse
con una puntuación total de 537.95 al chino Zhou Luxin.
Al momento de la entrega de las medallas pudo verse a Mitcham visiblemente emocionado, sentimiento
que compartió con su pareja, que se encontraba en la tribuna.

han declarado
públicamente que son
lesbianas, han
conseguido alguna
medalla en esta
edición de los Juegos
Olímpicos que acaba
de concluir.
En concreto, las
noruegas Gro
Hammerseng y Katjia
Nyberg, han logrado el
oro contra los rusos en
Balonmano, mientras
que la futbolista
norteamericana
Natasha Kai, de 25 años,
también se llevó otro
oro en fútbol femenino
al vencer a Brasil.
También en fútbol
femenino la alemana
Linda Bresonik logró una
medalla de bronce al
derrotar junto a su
equipo a Suiza.
Por últimos, las
estadounidenses Vicky
Galindo y Lauren Lappin
lograron la medalla de
plata en beisbol.

Al delivery of the medals Mitcham could be seen visibly excited, a feeling that he shared with his partner who
was among the specators.

Of the six women who have publicly declared they are lesbians, some have managed to win medals in this
edition of the Olympic Games that just concluded. Specifically, the Norwegian Gro Hammerseng and Katjia
Nyberg, achieved gold against the Russians in Handball, while the American soccer player Natasha Kai, 25,
also took another gold in women's soccer to beat Brazil. Also German football female Linda Bresonik won
bronze by defeating Switzerland together with her team.
Finally, Americans Vicky Galindo and Lauren Lappin won silver medal in baseball.
