Policía investigado por participación en video porno gay
Un oficial de policía de la ciudad de Hollywood en el
estado de Florida ha sido suspendido de sus tareas
mientras sus superiores investigan acusaciones de que
el oficial ha participado de la filmación de un video de
porno gay.
"El oficial Michael Verdugo ha sido puesto en licencia
administrativa con goce de sueldo hasta que se
conozcan los resultados de la investicagión que está
siendo llevada a cabo por Asuntos Internos", declaró
al Miami Herald el vocero de la estación de policía de
Hollywood, Tte. Manny Marino.
Verdugo podría ser sancionado o despedido de las
fuerzas si el departemento descubre que es él quien
aparece en el video en cuestión.
Rumores de que el oficial de 34 años de edad es uno
de los protagonistas del video de S&M del año 1996
llamado “Rope Rituals”, han estado circulando por
diferentes blogs en internet durante los últimos meses.
El abogado de Verdugo, Al Milian, en ningún momento
ha confirmado ni negado que el hombre que aparece
en el video es efectivamente Verdugo.
"Creo que todos los oficiales de policía son investigados
en algún momento de sus carreras. Muchas veces esta clase de acusaciones son completamente
infundadas", declaró Milian ante WTVJ-television.
Milian comentó que Verdugo asumió su sexualidad públicamente en el año 2004 y que desde ese
momento, ha tenido que lidiar con todo tipo de maltratos y discriminación.
"En la epoca en que vivimos, cuando uno lleva un determinado estilo de vida, está sujeto a ser observado y
juzgado constantemente", agregó Milian en la entrevista televisiva.
Verdugo se unió a las fuerzas policiales en el año 2001.
Milian aseguró estar dispuesto a defender la reputación y la importante contribución a la comunidad de
Verdugo.
Christopher O'Neal, el productor de “Rope Rituals”, declaró ante The Herald que no cree que sea Verdugo el
actor que aparece en el video.
''Creo que tienen al tipo equivocado'', aseguró O'Neal.

investigation being conducted by Internal Affairs.” said Lt. . Manny Marino of the Hollywood police station.
Verdugo could be disciplined or dismissed from the force if the department discovers that it is he who
appears in the video in question.
Rumors that the official 34-year-old is one of the protagonists of the 1996 S& M video called "Rope Rituals",
have been circulating on various Internet blogs in recent months.
Verdugo's lawyer, Al Milian, has never confirmed nor denied that the man who appears in the video is actually
Verdugo.
"I believe that all police officers are investigated at some point in their careers. Often these kinds of
allegations are completely unfounded," said Milian at WTVJ-TV.
Milian said that Verdugo assumed his sexuality publicly in 2004 and since then, has had to deal with all
kinds of abuse and discrimination.
"In the times we live in, when one assumes 7 aknowledges a certain lifestyle, you are subject to be
constantly watched and judged," said Milian in the television interview.
Verdugo joined the police force in 2001.
Milian said to be willing to defend the reputation and significant contribution to the community of Verdugo.
Christopher O'Neal, the producer of "Rope Rituals", told The Herald that he does not beleive Verdugo is the
actor who appears in the video.
''I think we have the wrong guy” said O'Neal.
