Alejandro Valencia announced
“Red Eye 2010 Fashion Designer of the Year”

This year (on July 23rd), Red Eye offered its 5th annual multimedia exhibition,
presented by the nonprofit Fort Lauderdale arts organization Art Serv. The art
stylings and after party were expanded over to IWAN “the bubble”. The fashion
show titled “the itty bitty blazer gala II”, served as the venue to name the Red
Eye 2010 Fashion Designer of the Year. The crown creativity and presentation
was close but ultimately given to Mr. Alejandro Valencia.
Judges at the affair included City Link fashion writer Joanie Cox, local fashion
and media maven Jyoto “Jo” Paswani, digital media artist and ultimate guru
Laurence Galter as well yours truly (Ambiente Magazine’s Armando Diaz, Jr.).
The soundtrack of the evening did not disappoint to the tune of natural born
rockers “Dooms De Pop” and “Bad Ass”, whose killer tracks were sadly cut short
by a sudden yet typical Florida downpour.
The gallery, was (as always) blessed by having its fringes and spaces adorned
with the unique flavors of the local artists it displays. Noticeably, Lisa Parrott-
Perz and her brand “Coma Girl”, Blair Hess, Erin O’Dea Cook, Rachel DeJohn, Skot
Olsen, among other talents.
