Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free;
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless,
Tempest-tossed to me
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame is the imprisoned lightning,
And her name, Mother of Exiles.
From her beacon-hand glows world-wide welcome;
Her mild eyes command the air-bridged harbor
That twin cities frame.
"Keep, Ancient Lands, your storied pomp!"
Cries she with silent lips.

What does FREEDOM mean to you?

Freedom mean a lot of different things to each of us. Some define it by politics,
others by personal liberties & rights. Still others use it as a tool of control,
manipulation and oppression. As we celebrate the 234th birthday of the United
States of America, many of you shared YOUR ideas on Freedom -
However you choose to celebrate FREEDOM
this July 4th, do it with equality and justice
for ALL... For me, FREEDOM is the right to live,
love & defend that which I believe to be true,
without ever depriving others of their right to
the same.

What does Freedom mean to me? Freedom to me means "democracy"
in a classical Greek sense, to live life without fear and free of

Freedom to me means to have the privilege of exercising the
right to be free to act, move, think and live in the manner I
choose, while respecting the rights of others to do the same
without FEAR of harm; whether it be physical, moral or material.
