Celebraron el Concurso Mr. Leather Internacional
El ganador de la edición número 30
del concurso Mr. Leather
Internacional ha sido Gary Iriza, un
personal trainer oriundo de Palm
Springs, California.
Iriza se llevó el premio mayor en la
competencia XXX International
Mr. Leather (IML) el pasado 26 de
mayo (el XXX se refiere al 30°
aniversario del concurso y no a
otra cosa, niños).
IML es una especie de concurso
de belleza, que celebra la
masculinidad y el estilo de vida
leather.
El IML tiene sus orígenes en el concurso Mr. Gold Coast, el cual se llevaba a cabo en el histórico bar leather
Gold Coast. El concurso se mudó a un predio más grande en el año 1979 y con la mudanza, la competencia
agregó el “internacional” a su título.
Hoy en día, el concurso es realmente internacional, atrayendo participantes de todo el mundo que se
reúnen en el hotel Hyatt Regency de Chicago cada año. El ganador de la competencia debe someterse a
una entrevista, a pruebas de presencia y personalidad y también es juzgado por su imagen leather, sus
habilidades de presentación y su apariencia física.
Iriza derrotó a otros 51 participantes de lugares tan disímiles como Berlín, Londres y Oklahoma.
International Mr. Leather 2008
The world's hottest leathermen came together to compete for the title of International Mr. Leather 2008, as
IML celebrates its 30th Anniversary, Thursday, May 22 through Monday, May 26, 2008 (Memorial Day
Weekend) in Chicago.
About 400 gay leathermen gathered in Chicago in 1979 for the first International Mr. Leather contest. Today,
the event has grown to be an annual tradition for thousands in the leather community - drawing contestants
and attendees from around the globe. Once an event for "hardcore" leathermen, IML has expanded in recent
years to include a more diverse crowd - from the experienced to the curious.
The Winner Is...

1st Runner-up: Bob Firth-Tessier, M. Cuir Montreal 2008
2nd Runner-up: Scott Melton, Mr. Ramrod 2007
And your new International Mr. Bootblack 2008 is: Bootdog, of the Alameda County Leather Corps in Castro
Valley, CA.
