Dirty Talk with Wynter Godon
Although Wynter Gordon first stepped into the limelight as featured vocalist on Flo
Rida's "Sugar," she had already penned songs for Danity Kane and Mary J Blige. She
even wrote the song "What is Love" for Jennifer Lopez - which should have been the
first single off the album rather than those Lola/Louboutins messes, but I digress. After
a buzzy appearance on David Guetta's mammoth album (the song "Toyfriend",) Wynter
steps out as a solo artist with "Dirty Talk." On first listen, we were kind of expecting a
reworking of Sunscreem's "No Angel/Exodus" but were pleasantly surprised by the
electro/soulful pop of the catchy track. Signed to the newly relaunched Big Beat, we
expect big things to come from Wynter after her energetic and sexy performance at
Score. Not only did she sound great, we loved the costume changed and the bedazzled
panties. Here's hoping that they hire Karl Giant to lens the video since he did such a
great job helping put together the show. - WebCrew
ATLANTIC RECORDS INTERVIEW
In herAtlantic Records' interview with Wynter, she reveals what it was like to work with
Jennifer Lopez and Estelle, and the worst job she ever had...
Who was your musical hero growing up?
I was a Disney freak when I was a teenager. I knew all the songs
I had all the movies, I wanted to be a cartoon. I was a big Celine
Dion fan too, I loved her.

What was the worst job you had before getting signed?
I was a personal trainer and I made good money but I always got the really big
clients, so it meant I had to measure their fat and their skin was hot and sweaty. I
also worked in coat check but I had a bottle thrown at me so I quit that night.
Who have you worked with on your new album?
In the dance world I've worked with Nick Littlemore and Starsmith, The Free
Masons, David Guetta... they aren't really known in the US but I think that's better
anyway. I don't want to follow after everybody else.
We heard you've been song-writing for Jennifer Lopez...
Yeah, she's really cool. I went to her movie trailer while she was shooting and I
sat on the floor with her and her kids crawling all over me, and Marc was there
too. She told me her ideas and feelings and I really got to get to know her before I
wrote for her. It was pretty awesome.
You also wrote for Estelle and Leighton Meester, what was that like?
With Estelle we just clicked right away and now we're really good friends. We go
to the studio and brainstorm, or go get our nails done. I've never actually met
Leighton but she used a song that we didn't use for my album, it was a blessing
that she loved it and wanted to use it.
Which of the following three famous Gordon's is your favorite: Gordon Ramsey,
Gordon Brown or Flash Gordon?
I don't know who the first two are so I'll go with C. It would definitely be Flash
Gordon anyway because he wears costumes and he's queer, I love him!
