Been A While | The NEW Romantic Short Film From director Julio Palmeiri By Armando Diaz, Jr.
During the third week of March 2010, Guatemalan film maker Julio Ponce Palmieri produced his most recent short film titled “BEEN A WHILE”. For the first time in his young film career, Julio Ponce Palmieri dives into the romantic comedy arena with this short film that tells the story of a man who runs into a prostitute and later recognizes her to be the old high school sweetheart he had cared about many years ago.
Running at 8 minutes and shot with the revolutionary Canon 7D, the film stars Canadian actors Kim Allan and Phil MacFadden who wonderfully portrayed the characters and gave life to the turbulent and comedic emotions that the script calls for.
Fully completed over the course of a week, the short film will undergo film festival submissions as well as already having secured TV play in Guatemala with the cable company TVO Telecom and its channel 6.
All of Julio Ponce Palmieri’s short films are currently being distributed worldwide by the Toronto company Ouat Media and “BEEN A WHILE” will be submitted to them as well for consideration.
