Tradicional historieta “Archie” incluirá a un personaje

Los Angeles – (AFP)... Archie, la popular historieta protagonizada por un adolescente
pelirrojo y su grupo de amigos, tendrá su primer protagonista abiertamente
homosexual, anunciaron el viernes sus editores.
El comic, lanzado en la década de 1940 y muy popular durante varias generaciones de
estadounidenses, sigue las aventuras de los estudiantes Archie, Betty, Verónica,
Torombolo y Carlos, entre otros, en la ficticia ciudad de Riverdale.
Ahora los personajes adolescentes recibirán a un nuevo compañero de clase, Kevin
Keller, en una decisión que busca reflejar la realidad del mundo actual, indicó el
codirector ejecutivo de Archie Comics, Jon Goldwater.
“La introducción de Kevin busca mantener el mundo de Archie Comics vigente e
inclusivo”, indicó Goldwater en un comunicado.
El personaje de Kevin Keller aparecerá en la próxima edición de “Verónica”, un
derivado de Archie.
Luego que Kevin derrota a Torombolo en un concurso para
comer hamburguesas, Verónica se siente atraída por él, pero es
rechazada.

Archie Comic Book has a new openly gay character whose name is Kevin Keller.
He is hot and you can already imagine how Veronica will be in a tizzy because she
cannot attract this hunky guy. This is the first story line for Kevin when he joins the
group, according to The Washington Post.

Kevin Keller, the gay character, will join Archie, Jug Head, and the rest of the crew
starting in September. He will start back to school at Riverdale High.
Everyone understands Kevin's romantic preferences except for Veronica, but that is
so understandable, if she is the same Veronica from my comic books thirty years
ago.
The comic book is catching up with the times and finally going to have more of a
real representation of the groups that make up society today.

According to The Washington Post, the new character, Kevin, seems to hit it off well
with the very old character, Jug Head.
Their connection seems to be food.

to budget cuts, bringing fifty new students to Riverdale High. This is how Kevin

realistic times.
