TRANS CON is coming back March 9-10, and it FREE!

How long has AQUA been producing TransCon, and why?
We started in 2010. One of our board members, Jessica Lam, a Transgender activist suggested we do a conference to support the trans
community. There are other conferences but they either focus on healthcare providers and/or charge for entry which prohibits many from
attending. TransCon's programming is to directly support trans and non-binary folks. It is FREE.

What is the focus of the event?
To provide information and services in a safe space for the trans and Non Binary community.

What should we expect for this year?
This year we are excited to have new programming such as TransCon U, a job skill training track, a name change clinic and a social
event on Sat night. We are also hosting for the first time a Listening Circle. We have invited leaders of organizations who provide services
to the trans and NB people. The goal is to improve their services by having action items for each org to implement. On Sunday we will
have a variety of workshops and a Wine Down event. Both days will offer complementary breakfast and lunch.

Who is TransCon for? It is for trans and NB people but it is also for allies. Who is your audience?
We pride ourselves on being inclusive of all.
