And 1000s of other phrases, all naming revenge, but revenge anyway. Just
thinking about it and weaving every step gives you that high of enjoyment.
Your upbringing will determine whether revenge is carried out or not. Although
everyone of us has listen to the devil even if we later repent. I have theory that
no one is 100% good or 100% evil. What happens when the little angel wins?
We do nothing but will always have doubt inside of us, if we should have done or
not? And if the little devil wins and if we go thru with
the revenge? Are we willing to accept the
consequences of our actions?

It's Complicated

The other day while watching television with my granddaughters, of course
Sponge Bob cartoons, (is it something else to watch?) I realized that the way
that good and evil are represented hasn’t changed much since my childhood.
This particular episode had Sponge Bob debating whether to get back at
someone or not. Like magic, a little angel and a little devil appear on each of
his shoulders and then the fighting began.
- Here, in the right shoulder, the angel of good, halo, wings, the whole nine yards,
whispering in Sponge Bob’s ear "do not do it, to err is human to forgive divine”,
and if you succumb to temptation you will go to hell"
Here, in the left shoulder, the little devil, of course red attire, horns, pitch fork
and the works, whispering in Sponge Bob’s other ear, "do it, go for it, its pay
back time, you wont go to hell, but you are going to give him hell.
Look little devil, said the little angel, stop giving him bad advise, you wont be
there when he feels remorse.
The little devil again to Sponge Bob. Don’t
be a fool, don’t listen to the angel, you got
nothing to loose, you loose one friend you
gain another one.

Esta complicada la cosa

El otro día mirando la televisión con mis nietas, por supuesto los muñequitos de
Sponge Bob, ( hay algo mas que ver en la televisión?) me di cuenta que la
forma de representar el bien y el mal no ha cambiado mucho desde que yo era
niña. Sponge Bob quería hacer algo vengativo y como por arte de magia se le
aparecen dos muñequitos, uno en cada esquina de los hombros y fue cuando el
match de boxeo empezó.
--- Aquí, en el hombro derecho, el angelito del bien, vestidito de blanco, con
carita de yo no fui, sedosas alitas. Cabecita de rubios y ensortijados rizos... y la
aerola de niño bueno, susurrándole al oído “no lo hagas que vengarse no es
bueno, y si sucumbes a la tentación iras al infierno”
Aquí, en el hombro izquierdo, el diablito, por supuesto vertido de rojo, con sus
tarritos en la cabeza y la sonrisa maliciosa y sarcástica, incitándolo “si hazlo, es
mentira que iras al infierno, lo que si sentirás es una satisfacción tan grande que
no se compara con nada”, para que llevara a cabo el plan siniestro en el que
estaba pensando...
¡Mira Diablito malvado, no le des malos consejos que después soy Yo el que
tiene que estar resolviendo todos los problemas de remordimiento.
El Diablito - Mira, no seas bobo, no tienes nada que perder, ni siquiera vas a
perder su amistad, porque eso no se le hace a un amigo, además no es la única
persona sobre el planeta,
Y así pelean el angelito y el diablito, una y otra vez, sobre quien esta bien o mal,
y por su puesto todo en esta vida es relativo a la circunstancia y el momento,
Y yo me pregunto, es buena la venganza? Se siente la satisfacción esperada
cuando lo hacemos? La venganza no es algo nuevo que se ha inventado en
este siglo, ni en anterior. Es algo tan viejo como el paraíso de Adán y Eva, que

Tenemos a grandes de la historia que han eternizado frases al respecto, en
todo el buen sentido de la palabra

Y como esos refranes 1000 mas, todos nombrando la venganza, para bien o mal,
pero venganza al fin. Ya solamente con sentirla y darle vueltas en nuestra
cabecita a ese tan macabro plan y, estamos sintiendo disfrute.
Dependiendo de nuestra crianza o creencias le damos camino, pero creo que
todos hemos tenidos esos sentimientos encontrados, y mas de uno hemos
escuchado al diablito aunque después nos arrepintamos. Esto le da más crédito
a mi teoría de que nadie es 100% bueno o 100% malo. Pero que pasa cuando el
angelito gana? No hacemos nada, pero siempre siempre tendremos la duda
dentro de nosotros, si deberíamos haberlo hecho o no? Y que pasa cuando el
diablito es el que gana? Tendremos cargos de conciencia o mejor dicho
remordimientos por lo que hemos hecho?

tal vez nunca te enteres. Porque dios no es chismoso. Y que pasa con los que
creen que Dios no existe?
Mientras tanto Yo soy una firme creyente que lo que se hace en este mundo se
paga en este mundo, ya sea bueno o malo. No pasara mucho tiempo cuando
te enteres que quien te hizo daño o te dejo por otro, le han hecho lo mismo, y
entonces pensaras en mi frase favorita, “la venganza es un plato que se sirve
frío” o hasta en Jackie Gleason, y grites bien fuerte y a todo pulmón para que el
mundo entero se entere.
