Cher reaparece: “Mi nuevo disco será algo más rockero�

Después de tres años de letargo,
en el que no sabÃamos si estaba
viva o muerta, Cher ha vuelto a
nuestras vidas mejor que nunca.
La artista que consagró el uso
del laúd en el Mester de JuglarÃa del
siglo XII y el vocoder en el dance
del XXI ha hablado, por fin, de sus
próximos proyectos musicales.
El tiempo sigue sin pasar por la
Mujer Eterna. La mejor estrella
de todos los tiempos, porque los
ha vivido todos, por fin ha hablado
sobre su próximo trabajo discográfico.
Lo ha hecho para una revista
japonesa de moda y aunque se lo
está tomando con calma, parece que
la estrella está siguiendo la premisa
de “despacito y con buena letra�.
“He escogido los temas del disco uno a uno. No hay un género definido en mi nuevo trabajo, solo
grandes canciones. Hay un sentimiento algo más rockero en ellas pero no es necesariamente un disco de
rock�, dice. Nosotros estamos encantados porque da igual el estilo que haga que con Cher siempre es
una apuesta segura: Nos gustó como referente hippie, nos encantó como reina de la discoteca en su fase
dance, nos fascinó en su etapa rockera y nos emociona cuando se pone en plan baladista desgarrada. Lo
suyo no es reinvención, es talento.
Comprobar el paso de diferentes civilizaciones ha hecho de Cher una mujer metodista y puede que espere
a vivir una nueva glaciación o en su defecto su enésimo cambio de milenio. “Aunque ya tengo las
canciones aún no me he puesto con el disco, tendrÃa que haber empezado a grabar ya pero no estaba
preparada�, dice la que fuera musa inspiradora para Homero cuando escribió la Illiada.
Más allá de su música, la primera artista que tuvo un tema titulado “Perfection� está tan joven y tan
estupenda como siempre. Diez años después de “Believe�, las fotos que publicamos en primicia
para España bien podrÃan pasar por outtakes de las sesiones promocionales de aquel disco. Pero no,
las fotos son de 2007 y Cher sigue impasible al paso del tiempo.

After disappearing for three years from the public eye, in which we did not know whether she was alive or
dead, Cher has returned to our lives better than ever. The artist who included the use of the lute in Mester of
JuglarÃa in the twelfth century and the vocoder into the dance of the century has spoken at last of their next
musical project.
Time has not touched this Eternal Woman. The best star of all time, because she has lived thru it all, finally
talks about her next album. Speaking recently in an interview for a Japanese fashion magazine, Cher says
she is taking it easy in recording her next album, following the premise of "slowly and with good lyrics."
"I have chosen the tracks on the record one by one. There is no particular genre defined in my new work, just
great songs. There is a sense of something more rocker in feel but it is not necessarily hard rock, "she says.
We are happy because it gives us the same style that always makes Cher a safe bet: We liked her as a
hippie, we were thrilled to see her as queen of the disco in her dance faze, we are fascinated with her as a
rocker and excited when she puts out ballads. This is not a reinvention, it is talent.
"Although I already have the songs I want for the disc, it should have already started to burn but I am not done
recording and," says she who could have been an inspirational muse for Homer when he wrote the Illiada.
Beyond her music, the first artist who had song entitled "Perfection" is as young and excellent as ever. Ten
years after "Believe", the recent photos publish for the first time in Spain could well pass as outtakes from the
promotional disc as decade ago. But no, the pictures were from 2007 and Cher remains impervious to the
passage of time.
